Miss Amy Johnson

This is Amy’s 11th year of teaching. She graduated from Dunlap High School in 2004 and majored in Elementary Education at Eastern Illinois University. After graduating in 2008, she accepted her first teaching job as the 7th and 8th grade teacher at St. Mary School and has been there ever since. Her teaching positions have included 7th and 8th, 2nd, and now 3rd and 4th grade. Teaching is her passion, and she has learned so much from her students. Being able to watch them grow as learners and see their excitement over meeting their goals is inspiring to her. She is a parishioner of Holy Family, and her faith is extremely important to her. Teaching at St. Mary has allowed her to grow in my faith as well as pass it on to the students. One of the highlights of her day is being able to pray with and for her students. She feels truly blessed to be teaching here.
