Rachel grew up in Mt. Sterling and graduated from Brown County High School. After high school, she attended Quincy University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. Rachel taught 4 years in Brussels, Illinois and spent 13 years teaching First Grade at St. Kevin School in East Alton, Illinois.
Rachel moved back to Mt. Sterling in 2000 to teach at St. Mary School. Rachel has wanted to be a teacher since 8th grade. She loves watching a student grow in knowledge through the school year. Rachel believes that all children have the ability to learn. It is just the teacher who must figure out what will help each child learn.
